Game Preview: The Blackfalds Bulldogs will look to return to the win column Wednesday night at home versus the Sherwood Park Crusaders. The Bulldogs are coming off a 5-2 loss Saturday at the Eagle Builders Centre versus the Drumheller Dragons. Blackfalds is sitting sixth in the AJHL South with its 21-28-1 record.
The Sherwood Park Crusaders have been idle since Saturday when they dropped a 3-0 decision to the Bonnyville Pontiacs. Sherwood Park is controlling seventh in the AJHL North with its 22-27-2 mark. The Crusaders won the only other matchup with the Bulldogs this season 3-2 back on Jan. 7 in Sherwood Park.

More Goals from Heindel: Blackfalds Bulldogs defenceman Adam Heindel has been finding the back of the net on a consistent basis lately. The Lacombe, AB product has four goals in his last five games. Heindel joined the Bulldogs in October and the 20-year-old has tallied 25 points in 37 games this season.
They’re Back: Wednesday’s matchup in Blackfalds marks the return of forward Jace Benvie and defenceman Juliano Santalucia to the Eagle Builders Centre. Benvie and Santalucia were traded from Blackfalds to Sherwood Park in exchange for defenceman Tyler Bates in early January.
Up Next: After Wednesday’s game at home versus the Sherwood Park Crusaders, the Bulldogs will hit the road of a couple of games this weekend. Blackfalds will make the trek to Olds Friday night before wrapping up its weekend Saturday evening in Camrose versus the Kodiaks.
