GAME PREVIEW: Blackfalds VS Lloydminster

Game Preview: The Blackfalds Bulldogs will be looking to rebound Friday night at the Eagle Builders Centre when they welcome the Lloydminster Bobcats to town. The Bulldogs are coming off a 3-1 loss Wednesday at home to the Camrose Kodiaks. Blackfalds sits sixth in the AJHL South with its 13-18-1 record.

The Lloydminster Bobcats will search for their fourth straight victory Friday. The Bobcats will look to build off their 6-2 victory over the Sherwood Park Crusaders Wednesday on home ice. Lloydminster is holding down sixth in the AJHL North with its 17-16-1 mark.

Friday’s matchup between the Bulldogs and Bobcats is the final one of the season between the two hockey clubs. The Bobcats skated away with a 4-1 win over the Bulldogs back on Dec. 4 in the Border City.

Carriere: Bulldogs forward Tye Carriere will try to extend his point streak to three games Friday night against Lloydminster. The Red Deer, AB product has three points in his last two games and seven points in his last 10 outings.

Thirty-Three Club: The Lloydminster Bobcats have three players on their roster with 33 points this season. Ethan Aucoin, Tanner Fincaryk and Mack Stewart have all tallied 33 points. Aucoin leads the way with 16 goals so far.

Up Next: After Friday’s contest with the Bobcats, the Bulldogs will play their last game before the Christmas break Saturday night at home versus the Grande Prairie Storm. Saturday’s matchup gets underway at 6 p.m. from the Eagle Builders Centre.
