GAME PREVIEW: Blackfalds VS Drayton Valley

Game Preview: The Blackfalds Bulldogs will be looking to rebound Friday night when they host the Drayton Valley Thunder. The Bulldogs are coming off a tough 6-1 loss Wednesday in Brooks to the Bandits. Blackfalds is currently sitting in sixth in the AJHL South with its 11-14-1 record.

The Drayton Valley Thunder will search for their third straight win Friday when they make their first trip ever to the Eagle Builders Centre. The Thunder are occupying fourth in the AJHL North with their 15-10-4 mark.

Friday’s matchup marks the second and final meeting of the season between the Bulldogs and Thunder. The Thunder took the last matchup 4-3 last Friday in Drayton Valley.

New Netminder: The Blackfalds Bulldogs announced Thursday they acquired 2001-born goalie Jackson Glassford from the Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the BCHL in exchange for the playing rights of 2003-born defenceman Wyatt Wilson and a player development fee. Glassford, a Qualicum Beach, B.C. product, is committed to Long Island University for the 2022-23 campaign.

Up Next: Following Friday’s clash with the Thunder, the Bulldogs will travel to Lloydminster Saturday to close out their weekend with the Bobcats. Saturday’s game in the Border City will get underway at 7:30 p.m.
