GAME PREVIEW: Blackfalds VS Canmore

Game Preview: The Blackfalds Bulldogs look for their third straight win Wednesday night on home ice versus the Canmore Eagles. The Bulldogs are coming off a 5-2 victory Saturday over the Camrose Kodiaks at the Eagle Builders Centre. Blackfalds has posted a 10-12 record, which is good for fifth in the AJHL South.

The Canmore Eagles enter play Wednesday with an 8-13-4 record, which currently has them in sixth place in the AJHL South. The Eagles will look to rebound following a 7-3 loss Sunday at home versus the Drumheller Dragons.

Wednesday’s matchup between Blackfalds and Canmore marks the third of six meetings between the southern rivals. The season series is tied at one and the Eagles took the last contest 5-0 back on Oct. 9 in Canmore.

Perfect at the EBC: The Bulldogs are perfect in their new barn after beating Calgary and Camrose last weekend. Prior to their first two games at the Eagle Builders Centre, Blackfalds played 18 games on the road and two off-site games in Lacombe and Red Deer.

Magnificent Massie: Bulldogs netminder Lucas Massie picked up his fifth straight win Saturday at home when the Bulldogs tamed the Camrose Kodiaks 5-2. The California product has seven wins in his last nine starts.

Up Next: Following Wednesday’s game at home versus Canmore, the Bulldogs will travel to Drayton Valley on Friday and battle the Thunder for the first time this season. The Bulldogs will host the Canmore Eagles Saturday at the Eagle Builders Centre as they close out their weekend schedule.
