GAME PREVIEW: Blackfalds VS Camrose

Game Preview: The Blackfalds Bulldogs will search for their second straight win Saturday at home when they host the Camrose Kodiaks after a 4-2 win Friday at the Eagle Builders Centre versus the Calgary Canucks. The Bulldogs improved to 9-12 on the season with the victory, which has them sitting in sixth in the AJHL South.

The Camrose Kodiaks will be looking to end a two-game skid Saturday in Blackfalds. The Kodiaks are coming off a 4-2 loss Friday night in Brooks versus the Bandits. The Kodiaks are holding down third in the AJHL South with their 14-7-2 mark.

Saturday’s matchup marks the second of six meetings between the Bulldogs and the Kodiaks this season. Camrose took the first matchup 3-2 Oct. 5 in Camrose.

History Making Goal: Carter Yarish’s goal 14:04 into the game Friday versus Calgary will go down in the history books as the first goal for the Bulldogs at the Eagle Builders Centre. Jayden Joly scored the first goal in franchise history Sept. 18 in Olds.

Massie Making His Mark: Bulldogs goalie Lucas Massie recorded his seventh win of the season Friday night. Massie has now won his last four starts and he has six wins in his last eight starts.

Looking Ahead: Following Saturday’s game versus Camrose, the Blackfalds Bulldogs will host the Canmore Eagles next Wednesday at the Eagle Builders Centre. Blackfalds will then travel to Drayton Valley next Friday before hosting the Canmore Eagles again next Saturday.
