Game Preview: The Blackfalds Bulldogs will be looking to rebound Friday night at home when they host the Calgary Canucks. The Bulldogs are coming off a 5-2 loss last Saturday night in Fort McMurray to the Oil Barons. Blackfalds went 1-1 last weekend through its northern swing. The Bulldogs enter the weekend in sixth place in the AJHL South with their 8-12 record.
The Calgary Canucks will also look to bounce back after dropping a 7-4 decision Wednesday at home to the Brooks Bandits. The Canucks are 6-15-3 on the campaign and are occupying seventh in the AJHL South.
Friday’s matchup marks the fourth time the Canucks have played the Bulldogs this season. Blackfalds took the last matchup 3-2 Nov. 5 in Calgary.

Home Sweet Home: After playing 20 games away from the Eagle Builders Centre, the Blackfalds Bulldogs will finally be able to play a home game. The Bulldogs have played a couple of off-site games in Lacombe and Red Deer though.
Nice Fit for Siedem: Forward Jason Siedem has found a nice fit in Blackfalds. The New Jersey product has recorded four points in five games since being acquired by the Cowichan Valley Capitals in the BCHL.
Up Next: Following Friday’s home opener versus the Calgary Canucks, the Blackfalds Bulldogs will host the Camrose Kodiaks Saturday at the Eagle Builders Centre. Saturday’s matchup is scheduled for 6 p.m.
