GAME PREVIEW: Blackfalds VS Bonnyville

Game Preview: The Blackfalds Bulldogs will search for their fifth straight win Friday at home versus the Bonnyville Pontiacs. The Bulldogs will look to build off Wednesday’s 6-4 victory over the Calgary Canucks at the Eagle Builders Centre. Blackfalds is sitting in fifth in the AJHL South with its 25-28-1 record.

The Bonnyville Pontiacs will look for a return to the win column Friday in Blackfalds after dropping a 5-2 decision at home Wednesday to the Sherwood Park Crusaders. Bonnyville is controlling third in the AJHL North with its 34-15-7 record. The season series between the Bulldogs and Pontiacs is tied at a game apiece. Blackfalds took the last contest 4-2 Nov. 12 in Bonnyville.

Carriere Clutch: Blackfalds Bulldogs forward Tye Carriere has five goals in his last four games. The Red Deer, AB product is also riding a six-game point streak. He has recorded 11 points during that span. Carriere has 39 points in 50 games this season with the Bulldogs.

Tamburro: Bonnyville Pontiacs forward Sebastian Tamburro is having a great season. The Toronto product has tallied 61 points in 56 games this season with the Pontiacs. Tamburro is committed to Colgate University for the 2022-23 season.

Up Next: Following Friday’s matchup at home with the Bonnyville Pontiacs, the Bulldogs will make the trek to Drumheller Saturday for a date with the Dragons. Blackfalds will also be in Drumheller Monday taking on the Dragons.
