GAME PREVIEW: Blackfalds @ Spruce Grove

Game Preview: The Blackfalds Bulldogs look for their second straight win Saturday in Spruce Grove when they meet the Saints for the first time this season. The Bulldogs are coming off a 6-2 win Friday in Calgary versus the Canucks. Blackfalds is 3-8 on the campaign.

Spruce Grove will try and end a two-game losing streak Saturday. The Saints dropped a 7-6 decision in a shootout on Friday night in Camrose to the Kodiaks. Spruce Grove has posted a 7-3-2 record.

Meantime, you can catch Saturday’s matchup on the Bulldogs Radio Network with Braden Malsbury. The pre-game show gets underway at 6:45 p.m.  

Multi-Goal Efforts: Ryan Johnson and Kaiden Bugera both scored twice on Friday in Calgary for Blackfalds. Johnson now leads the Bulldogs with five goals on the season and he has found the back of the net three times in his last two games.

Spruce Grove Snipers: The Spruce Grove Saints have seven players on their roster with at least 10 points this season. Brett Pfoh leads the team with 17 points coming into Saturday’s matchup with the Bulldogs. Pfoh sits seventh in AJHL scoring at the moment.

Looking Ahead: Following Saturday’s game in Spruce Grove, the Bulldogs will have a few days off before hosting the Whitecourt Wolverines at Servus Arena in Red Deer Thursday. Blackfalds will not play next Friday or Saturday.
