Game Preview: The Blackfalds Bulldogs will go for their second straight win Friday night in Olds when they meet the Grizzlys. The Bulldogs are coming off a 4-0 victory over the Sherwood Park Crusaders Wednesday at the Eagle Builders Centre. Wednesday’s win pushed the Bulldogs into fifth in the AJHL South with their 22-28-1 record.
The Olds Grizzlys will look to end a three-game losing streak Friday when they host the Bulldogs. The Grizzlys dropped their last contest 4-1 Tuesday in Drumheller. Olds is last in the AJHL South with its 7-39-5 record. The Bulldogs have won all five previous games versus the Grizzlys this season.

A Lott to Love: It was a memorable AJHL debut Wednesday for affiliate goalie Brock Lott. The Rimbey, AB product pitched a 29-save shutout versus the visiting Sherwood Park Crusaders. Not only was it Lott’s first shutout, but it was the first one for the Bulldogs in franchise history.
Carriere Catching Fire: Blackfalds Bulldogs forward Tye Carriere is heating up. The Red Deer, AB product scored twice Wednesday and is now riding a three-game point streak. The 20-year-old has six points during that span and has recorded 34 points in 47 games this season.
Looking Ahead: Following Friday’s game in Olds, the Blackfalds Bulldogs will conclude their weekend Saturday in Camrose versus the Kodiaks. The Bulldogs will then return home to host the Calgary Canucks Feb. 16.
