Game Preview: The Blackfalds Bulldogs will search for their second straight win Saturday in Fort McMurray when they face the Oil Barons. The Bulldogs will look to build off their 4-2 victory Friday in Bonnyville versus the Pontiacs. Blackfalds enters Saturday’s contest in fifth in the AJHL South with its 8-11 record. The Bulldogs have six wins in their last nine games.
The Fort McMurray Oil Barons will also be looking for their second consecutive win after taming the Drumheller Dragons 4-3 in overtime Friday at home. The Oil Barons sit second in the AJHL North with their 17-5 mark.
Saturday’s matchup marks the second of three meetings between Blackfalds and Fort McMurray this season. The Oil Barons took the first contest 7-2 back on Oct. 1 at the AJHL Showcase in Brooks.

Ross Scores First AJHL Goal: Blackfalds Bulldogs forward Brendan Ross scored his first AJHL goal Friday night in Bonnyville versus the Pontiacs. His goal also proved to be the game-winner.
Harding the Hero: Fort McMurray Oil Barons defenceman Taige Harding scored the overtime winner Friday against Drumheller. The St. Albert, AB product has 21 points in 22 games this season. He was selected 91st overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.
