GAME PREVIEW: Blackfalds @ Drumheller

Game Preview: The Blackfalds Bulldogs will be looking for their fifth straight win Tuesday in Drumheller when they face the Dragons. The Bulldogs are coming off a 3-1 victory Saturday on home ice versus the Olds Grizzlys. Blackfalds sits sixth in the AJHL South with its 19-25-1 record.

The Drumheller Dragons will try to rebound Tuesday after a 3-2 shootout loss Sunday at home to the Canmore Eagles. The Dragons are occupying third in the AJHL South with their 25-14-6 mark.

Tuesday’s contest between the Bulldogs and Dragons is the second meeting of the season between the two clubs. It was Blackfalds skating away with a 5-4 overtime win versus Drumheller Jan. 19 at the Eagle Builders Centre in the previous matchup.

Siedem’s Streak: Blackfalds Bulldogs forward Jason Siedem is riding a seven-game point streak entering Tuesday’s matchup in Drumheller. The New Jersey product has collected 11 points during that span. Siedem has 29 points in 30 games this season with the Bulldogs.  

Scoring by Committee: The Drumheller Dragons have six players this season with at least 34 points. Forward Carter Belitski leads the way for Drumheller with 43 points in 42 games this season.

Looking Ahead: Following Tuesday’s matchup in Drumheller with the Dragons, the Bulldogs will host the Dragons Friday night at the Eagle Builders Centre. Blackfalds will conclude its weekend Saturday on home ice when they welcome the Okotoks Oilers to town.
