Game Preview: The Blackfalds Bulldogs get back into the swing of things Friday night in Calgary versus the Canucks. The Bulldogs are coming off a 5-3 loss Monday in Okotoks versus the Oilers and they will try and end a seven-game losing streak. Blackfalds has posted a 2-8 record so far.
The Calgary Canucks have been idle since last Saturday when they dropped a 5-1 decision in Camrose to the Kodiaks. Calgary is 1-8 on the campaign and has dropped its last five contests.
Friday’s matchup between the Bulldogs and the Canucks is the second of six meetings between the AJHL South rivals. The Canucks took the opening matchup 4-2 back on Sept. 28.

Ross Added: The Blackfalds Bulldogs added 2003-born forward Brendan Ross to the roster earlier this week. The Calgary, AB product had seven points in six games last season with the Calgary Buffaloes U18 AAA team. Ross made his debut for the Bulldogs Monday in Okotoks.
Streak Snappers: During Monday’s game in Okotoks versus the Oilers, the Blackfalds Bulldogs ended Okotoks’ three-game shutout streak when Ryan Johnson tallied his third of the season 2:42 into the second frame. The Oilers had a stretch of 203 minutes and 21 seconds without allowing a goal.
Up Next: Following Friday’s game in Calgary, the Bulldogs will make the trek north to Spruce Grove Saturday for a date with the Saints as Blackfalds wraps up its weekend. The Bulldogs have a light schedule next week with just one game Thursday in Red Deer at Servus Arena versus the Whitecourt Wolverines.
