Game Preview: The Blackfalds Bulldogs will be looking to bounce back after an 8-0 loss last Saturday in Brooks versus the Bandits. With the loss, the Bulldogs slipped to 7-11 on the campaign, which has them occupying sixth in the AJHL South.
The Bonnyville Pontiacs will try for their second straight victory after a 6-4 victory Tuesday in Drayton Valley over the Thunder. The Pontiacs enter Friday’s contest in third place in the AJHL North with their 15-5-2 record.
This is the second of three meetings between the Bulldogs and the Pontiacs this season. Bonnyville took the first matchup 5-3 Oct. 2 at the AJHL Showcase in Brooks.

Multi-Point Meerman: Blackfalds Bulldogs forward Brett Meerman has recorded four multi-point games this season. The latest multi-point effort from Meerman came Nov. 5 when he scored once and added an assist in a 3-2 victory over the Calgary Canucks. The Blackfalds, AB product has 15 points in 18 games this season.
Hilfiker Commits: The Bonnyville Pontiacs announced earlier this week that 2001-born defenceman Will Hilfiker committed to the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. In 19 games with the Pontiacs this season, the New Jersey product has recorded seven points.
Looking Ahead: Following Friday’s game in Bonnyville, the Bulldogs will make the trek Saturday to Fort McMurray to take on the Oil Barons for the second time this season. Blackfalds lost 7-2 to the Oil Barons Oct. 1 at the AJHL Showcase in Brooks earlier this season.
