The Blackfalds Bulldogs recorded their third straight win Friday on home ice when they clipped the Olds Grizzlys 6-5 in overtime.

For the second straight game, the Bulldogs needed some overtime magic. Nick Magis ended things when he walked down the left side and beat Ethan Rau 3:27 into the extra session for his second of the evening and 11th of the campaign.

Blackfalds also got goals from Connor Poffenroth, Spencer Bell, Ethan Lund and Brett Meerman on Friday. Lucas Massie got the start for the Bulldogs, but he left the game in the first period and did not return. Jackson Glassford came into the game and ended up making 19 saves for the victory.

Tyler Green scored twice for Olds, while Sheldon Kwiatkowski, Tanner Klimpke, and Colby Browne added singles. Ethan Rau turned away 28 shots in the loss.

With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 18-25-1 on the campaign, which still has them in sixth in the AJHL South.

The Bulldogs search for their fourth straight victory Saturday when they host the Olds Grizzlys for the second straight night at the Eagle Builders Centre.
