The Blackfalds Bulldogs recorded their fifth straight win Friday at home when they clipped the Bonnyville Pontiacs 3-2 in overtime.

Adam Heindel ended the game 2:23 into the extra session when he wired a one-timer past Matthew Hennessey for his 11th of the campaign. Brett Meerman and Deegan Mofford had the other goals for the Bulldogs in the second frame. Jackson Glassford made 31 saves for his fourth straight victory.

Will Hilfiker and Kash Rasmussen provided the goals for the Pontiacs Friday at the Eagle Builders Centre. Matthew Hennessey turned away 32 shots in a losing cause.

With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 26-28-1 on the campaign, which still has them in fifth in the AJHL South. Blackfalds is just two points back of the fourth-place Okotoks Oilers in the division.
