The Blackfalds Bulldogs returned to the win column Friday night at the Eagle Builders Centre when they tamed the Olds Grizzlys 8-6.
Nick Magis led the Bulldogs offensively with one goal and three assists for a four-point evening. Brett Meerman and Ryan Johnson both scored twice, while Spencer Bell, Deegan Mofford and Connor Poffenroth rounded out the scoring. Affiliate goalie Madden Mulawka turned away 27 shots for his second AJHL victory.
Aidan Coupe scored twice for the Grizzlys, while Kasey Hiemstra, Liam Hughes, Sheldon Kwiatkowski and Niklas Gudmundson also tallied for Olds. Jared Whale made 24 saves in a losing cause.
With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 21-27-1 on the campaign, which still has them holding down sixth in the AJHL South.
Blackfalds will look for its second straight win Saturday on home ice when they welcome the Drumheller Dragons to town for a 6 p.m. puck drop.
