Bulldogs sign Loomer

The Blackfalds Bulldogs are pleased to announce the signing of 2005-born forward Layne Loomer to a letter of intent for the 2022-23 campaign.

“I’m extremely excited to join the Bulldogs to further advance my hockey development and hockey career,” said Loomer. “I’m a fast-paced player who sees the ice extremely well. I use that skill to make plays, contribute to my team and teammates success. I never give up on a play – I’m a player who is versatile and can play any role that is required.”

The Lethbridge, AB product has recorded 44 points in 27 games this season with the Northern Alberta Xtreme U18 Prep team. During the 2019-20 campaign, he had 32 points in 33 games with the Lethbridge Golden Hawks U15 AAA club.

“Layne is a dynamic offensive player with great instincts and a nose for the net,” said Bulldogs Asst. GM Adam West. “We look forward to adding him alongside our young, skilled core.”

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs will search for their fifth straight win Friday at home when they host the Bonnyville Pontiacs at the Eagle Builders Centre.
