The Blackfalds Bulldogs suffered their second straight loss Friday night at home when they dropped a 6-2 decision to the Spruce Grove Saints.

Caiden Gault scored twice for the Saints, while Braeden Virtue, Logan Acheson, Keifer Miller and Liam Watkins rounded out the scoring. Tristan Martin made 24 saves for the victory in the Spruce Grove net.

Jason Siedem and Brendan Ross both scored in the third period Friday for the Bulldogs. Jackson Glassford turned away 26 shots in a losing cause.

With the loss, the Bulldogs slipped to 15-25-1 on the season, which still has them in sixth place in the AJHL South.

The Bulldogs will look to rebound Saturday night at the Eagle Builders Centre when they host the Fort McMurray Oil Barons. Saturday’s game is scheduled to get underway at 6 p.m. in Blackfalds.

Following Saturday’s contest, the Bulldogs will get set for three more games at home next week.
