The Blackfalds Bulldogs were blanked 5-0 Saturday in Canmore versus the Eagles.
The Eagles opened the scoring 9:27 into the first period when Max Monette beat Lucas Massie in the slot for his first of the campaign. The Bulldogs had some good scoring opportunities in the first, but they were unable to beat Andreai Proctor-Ramirez, who made 21 saves for the shutout.
Emanuel Hudson gave the Eagles a 2-0 lead 1:36 into the second frame. Canmore took a 3-0 advantage 7:08 into the second on the power play when Cale Lyons recorded his first of the season. Kyle Young and Kayden Smith rounded out the scoring for the Eagles in the third stanza en route the victory.
Lucas Massie got the start in net for the Bulldogs on Saturday and the California product made 30 saves in the loss. Massie came up with several brilliant stops versus the Eagles.
With the setback, the Bulldogs slipped to 2-7 on the season and they are now on a six-game losing streak.

Following Monday’s tilt in Okotoks, the Bulldogs will travel to Calgary Oct. 15 for a date with the Canucks.
