Bulldogs acquire Murphy-Johnson

The Blackfalds Bulldogs announced Tuesday they have acquired 2002-born defenceman Jackson Murphy-Johnson from the Merritt Centennials (BCHL) in exchange for a player development fee.

The Burnaby B.C. product has split time this season with the Coquitlam Express and the Merritt Centennials. He started his junior career with the Trail Smoke Eaters during the 2019-20 campaign.

In 63 regular season games in the BCHL, Murphy-Johnson has recorded seven points and 26 penalty minutes.

Meantime, the Bulldogs will look for their third straight win Wednesday at home when they host the Canmore Eagles at the Eagle Builders Centre.

Following Wednesday’s game, the Bulldogs will make the trek to Drayton Valley Friday before hosting the Canmore Eagles again Saturday.
