The Blackfalds Bulldogs announced Thursday they have acquired 2001-born goalie Jackson Glassford from the Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the BCHL in exchange for the playing rights of 2003-born defenceman Wyatt Wilson and a player development fee.
“We’re very excited to have Jackson join our roster for the rest of the season,” said Blackfalds Bulldogs Assistant GM Adam West. “He will continue to develop and grow his game with the rest of our team as we have done all year.”
Glassford, a Qualicum Beach, B.C. product, is committed to Long Island University for the 2022-23 campaign.
In seven games this season with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs, Glassford has posted a 3-3 record, 3.95 GAA and .864 save percentage. During the 2019-20 season, he had a 12-7-1 record, 3.25 GAA and .915 save percentage.
Meantime, the Bulldogs are back in action Friday night at home when they host the Drayton Valley Thunder on Toque, Mitt and Teddy Bear Toss Night. Friday’s game will get underway at 7 p.m.
Following Friday’s tilt with the Thunder, the Bulldogs travel to Lloydminster Saturday.
